Mt. Crested Butte

Our family vacation this year took place in a quaint little mountain resort nestled deep in the Rocky Mountains. We spent our time enjoying little man as he saw his first snowfall, lived it up in their local Children's Museum, and we all ate our way through all the local cuisine. Perhaps, we can enjoy another opportunity in a few years to return and watch P take his first run on the slopes!

In memory of...

Each year we participate in a walk to raise awareness for suicide prevention. This year we got to add an third honorary member to our team and little man was great! Most of the time the walk consists of a few miles around a downtown area or college campus, this year, being in Colorado we got to a bit more rugged of a hike.

We were proud to announce that between the three of us, we raised over  $300 and have high hopes for next year too!

It's time to rally!

Staying busy with baseball games, political rallies and loads of campus events. We were able to take Peyton to his first major sporting event when the Reds came to town and played the Rockies. Dad was so happy to see Peyton was into the whole thing.

Shortly thereafter, we had an opportunity to see President Obama campaign at CU. It's not everyday that you get to see the President of the US. We're lucky that we were able to see two in one year but this time, it got to be a family event.

Matt had a birthday and Peyton had fun picking out special gifts for his Dad... like a new Mickey Mouse picture book! Matt's birthday also leads us into the busyness of RA training, new residents checking into the halls, and loads of campus events.

Beautiful Boulder

Can we just say perfect?! We absolutely love our new home! Boulder has been so good to us and CU has been the PERFECT place for me professionally. We had some snafoos when we first arrived (Matt was still in FL when I had to have emergency surgery one week into training... what a whirlwind!) but things have worked out with none other than divine guidance.

Some of our favorite things about our new home include the gorgeous scenery, family dinners on Pearl Street, walking through the farmers market or campus, and all of our new friends in Colorado! Of course we've kept up with our sports teams by having Matt join a softball league, attending a CU football game, and next month we have a photo shoot in the Broncos stadium... something to look forward to.
